Orders
Orders are confirmed by a reply email. Where dispatch is chosen, payment is taken before posting. Where market or home collection is chosen, payment is taken in cash or by card on the day.
Seasonal stock
Some Tregunter preserves are seasonal, so once that season's stock has sold, they become unavailable until the fruit can be grown or picked again. When something runs out it's hidden from the shop as quickly as possible. If an order comes in just before that happens, we'll email you to explain and ask whether you'd like a substitute, to remove the item, or to cancel the order in full — and we'll action your choice as quickly as we can, usually by the end of the next working day.
Tregunter normally has everything listed in stock, but occasionally we may need to make more of a particular preserve to complete an order. This is most likely with the no-added-sugar preserves, which have a shorter shelf life and so are made frequently in very small batches to keep the jar you receive as fresh as possible. If we don't have your choice in stock, we'll contact you with an estimated dispatch time, or offer a replacement or cancellation if you'd prefer.
Allergens
All Tregunter preserves use ingredients that are free from cow's milk, lactose and wheat, and are suitable for anyone with an intolerance to those, as well as to a range of other food intolerances. We do use eggs (in the curds), alcohol, various spices and walnuts within the kitchen — although walnuts are stored separately, away from other ingredients, and the apple, prune & walnut chutney is made either last or as the only preserve that day.
Tregunter cannot, however, guarantee that the preserves are suitable for someone with a full allergy, especially if they suffer from anaphylaxis or are particularly sensitive to an ingredient. This is because Sarah lives in a house that includes people who don't share the same intolerances, so lactose-free milk and wheat are stored and used in different areas of the kitchen. Every precaution is taken — such items are sealed and kept in a separate area while Sarah is making preserves — but it may be possible for traces to exist. Please check the allergens section of the website, or contact us for more information, and read the ingredients panel on every jar before consuming.
Returns
As these are perishable foods, returns are limited to faulty products. Everything is carefully checked and packaged before dispatch, but if a product arrives damaged or fails to seal correctly, please email us a photograph of the damaged jar and its parcel and we'll replace it.
We want every customer to be completely happy with their order. If there's any discrepancy, please email or phone us and we'll put it right as quickly as we can.
